Having driven that car around WA I can verify it boils. I fitted a mechanical fan to it, as well as the electric one. That seemed to help. On my own jup, even with a big aluminium rad, I have occasionally needed to fit the mechanical fan. It might pay to check the obvious things, like the fan is turning the correct way, the water pump, head gasket leaks and timing. I found that a worn dizzy caused overheating.
