Recently advertised in the Jowetteer, but at the moment (18/3/05) still available. 1: 1935 Jowett saloon for restoration - AWT 461 @. .. £750... complete, but not for the faint- hearted. Elsewhere a similar type of fully-restored pre-war Jowett has been offered for sale recently at £8,500 in the Classic Car Press. So take your time and restore it over a few years. When restored and MOT'd the reg plate (AWT 461) could be worth at least the restoration costs, (but can't promise this). JUNIOR JOWETTEERS TAKE NOTE _ SPEAK TO YOUR PARENTS!!! My first Jowett, "Mary Ellen" which I still have, cost me £8 but that was in 1961, around 44 years ago. 2: 1929 vintage Jowett engine, come and take a look, or if REALLY interested, say so, and will bring to Basingstoke, but it's not at 1965 prices - neither are any of the other subsequent offerings!! 3: A vintage back axle, the other one will hopefully go across the water to the Emerald Isle in the near future. A selection of other spares:- 4: Vintage steering column and steering box. 5: 1931 stainless steel radiator surround 6. Many bits and pieces as well as heavier lumps for early 30's Jowetts.
