I have just started work on my 1930 Long Four? that I bought in the Guildford area in 1966. I have always thought of it as a Black Prince, but: - the bodywork is mainly blue fabric - what's left. It has a ball change gear box, 6 volt electrics, high 'waistline' artillery type wheels and other 1929 / 1930 features. Chassis / engine numbers are the same, beginning 02... so it appears to be 1930 all right. I found a small 'Jowett' script in rather 'spiky' letters in the wreckage under the back seat, presumably off the radiator. I could make good use of a 6 volt 'perch on' type ignition coil and a replacement radiator. The existing one appears to have a stainless steel shell. Can anyone provide photocopies of the handbook? I especially need the general arrangement of the chassis. Anyone else retored one of these lately / in living memory? Any advice would be gratefully received. Ian Howell
