Hi Eric, I had the horn operating when the wheels were turning from lock to lock, I had found that the solder for the wire onto the slip ring had cracked and this allowed the wire to make contact with the outter column at times. As to replacing the slip ring I think I had to cut off the top bush on the column to install the slip ring and then re spot-weld it back on. Bryan
