Rob, Since my Javelin is not on the road yet, I have only one comment in response to your list of questions. The windscreen seals are available, both from Bill Lock and from Jowett Car Club Spares. However, I understand that the ones provided by JCCS are in a single strip, whereas Bill has some with corners moulded to fit the screen. Having struggled with the continuous strip sort (which came with my car), with less than fully satisfactory results, I would strongly recommend purchasing from Bill.
