The Dealers 'Glovers of Ripon' also had a branch in Harrogate but the 'Glovers' in Ripon was, to ma the main BL branch for the area. It was just south of Ripon City centre on the old A61. 25 odd years ago they sold out to Appleyard and the whole amalgamated with the Leeds group. More recently car sales were discontinued and the firm was split in half, the workshops became Ripon Land Rover and the showroom and petrol pump side became 'Kwik Fit'. The Ripon Landrover business has moved to the North of the City and the site has been built on - I think the new buildings aer all Flats but not sure. Just for the Record, I have a contact with a 1934 Morris 10-6 special Sports that was originally sold by Glovers of Ripon.
