Just to complete this one. I have been told, based on the pictures that I have on my website (http://members.rogers.com/1950jowett), that the instruments that were used in the Stanadard model and the extra ones that I have, appear to be identical to ones used in some Austins in the same era. This provides a plausible explanation for where the may have come from. How to mount them in the Javelin is another problem -- one which I don't really need to solve just yet!
