My tyres are 175x75x16 radial ply.The handling is superb and there are no problems. The centre when pressed into the 5in rim needs to be set so as not to cause trouble.Your tyres sound like crossplys by the size. I don't think they would fit standard rims.We have set the rims offset to suit the radial size above.It may be different for your tyre size.I have to keep my wheels straight when opening and closeing the front or I will bend the guards.
