Four hundred yards from home, at the end of a run out in the Jupiter, heard a bang under the bonnet followed by much noise. Coasted home, lifted the bonnet to find that the spark plug on cylinder 1 had exploded.... The insulator had blown clear out of the plug, leaving an (easily removed) stub still in the engine. The remainder of the plug was mostly still attached to the ignition lead, but the cap on the end of the lead appeared singed. Any ideas what may have caused this - and any words of advice before I refit a new plug and start up again?
